Purchases & Suppliers

Buy with a record. Pay suppliers knowing exactly what you owe

Create a purchase order, receive the goods, and the supplier balance and your stock both update. Payments and returns are tracked against the same supplier.

Purchases and suppliers are included in every plan, from Starter.

Sound familiar?

The problems this fixes

  • Orders are placed on a phone call and nobody remembers what was agreed.
  • You are not sure whether a delivery matched what you ordered.
  • Supplier payments are made without a clear running balance.
  • Returned goods never make it back into the records.

What you get

What Purchases & Suppliers does for you

  • Purchase orders

Draft an order, mark it as ordered, and edit it freely until goods arrive.

  • Partial deliveries

Receive part of an order now and the rest later. The order status follows what has arrived.

  • Stock and bill together

Receiving goods raises stock and the supplier bill in one step, so the two cannot drift apart.

  • Supplier balance and statement

A running balance for each supplier with a dated statement of bills and payments.

  • Pay from a bank or cash account

Record a payment against the supplier, choosing the account it leaves from.

  • Rate corrections

If the invoice rate differs from the order, correct the rate after receipt without redoing the whole order.

  • Purchase returns

Send goods back to the supplier. Stock reduces and the supplier balance is adjusted.

Questions people ask

Can I pay a supplier before a purchase order exists?
